Ukraine will pay the military personnel 100,000 hryvnyas a month. The decision to implement presidential decrees was adopted today by the Cabinet of Ministers.
This was announced by the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov on Facebook.
"During the period of martial law, servicemen of the Armed Forces, Security Service, Foreign Intelligence Service, Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, National Guard, State Border Guard Service, State Security Administration, State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection, State Special Transport Service, NCOs and officers of the State Emergency Service and Police officers are paid an additional fee of 30,000 UAH per month, "- said in a statement.
Those soldiers who are directly involved in combat actions or are involved in national security and defense, repulse and deter armed aggression, being directly in the areas and being involved in the above-mentioned actions, the amount of additional remuneration is increased to 100,000 hryvnyas per month, in proportion to the time of participation in such actions and activities.
The families of our servicemen, who died in this war, will receive a one-time payment of 15 million hryvnyas, which is distributed in equal shares to all recipients.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi released this statement yesterday. Today the decision was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers. And I want to repeat the words of the President: this is not done to say "thank you". This is done so that our defenders know that the country is grateful to them. The state must pay well for this important work. In addition, we continue to do everything to strengthen our defence capabilities at the international level! Thank you for your support to all partner countries! Glory to Ukraine! " - added Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov.
As reported yesterday, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi states that the payments to the defenders will be significantly raised. He said it would be expensive, but there was nothing more precious than life and the fight for freedom.
