The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko had an online meeting with the financial leaders of the G7 countries, as well as the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Finance.
During the meeting, they have discussed the possibilities of providing assistance to Ukraine to strengthen the economy, as well as facilitate the procedures for providing funds.
Representatives of the G7 countries, the IMF and the World Bank stressed "the unswerving support for Ukraine and solidarity with the Ukrainian people", is said in a statement of the Ministry of Finance.
In an interview with journalists after the meeting, German Federal Minister of Finance Christian Lindner has said that Germany should analyze possible areas of support for Ukraine, and the parties plan to agree on this issue in the coming days.
We are to remind, today, 1 March, the Minister of Economy and Finance of France Bruno Le Mer declared that the countries of the European Union will wage "total economic and financial war against Russia" which consequences will be felt by all inhabitants of the Russian Federation.
