The priests of the Moscow Patriarchate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church recorded an address to Primate Onufriy with the call to gather the Local Council and leave the Moscow Patriarchate. The clerics released this address on YouTube.

"I appeal to my abbot, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy, to initiate the convening of a local council of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, which will raise the issue of the inappropriateness of further membership in the Moscow Patriarchate and change the canonical status of our Church," said one cleric.

“We considered you a father, some of us even considered you a great master and a Father, but you turned out to be worse than a stepdad. God is your judge,” the Moscow Patriarchate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church priests addressed Patriarch Kirill, head of the Russian Orthodox Church

“I will no longer mention your name during the service in our church. This is my response to your silence during the Russian war against Ukraine and the complete indulgence of Putin, which led to this war,” said one of the clerks. Around dozen, priests published the address from Kyiv, Kyiv oblast, and Dnipro. As one of the priests mentioned, his church in Demydov was destroyed during the shelling by Russian forces.

Let us remind that on February 24, the head of UOC MP Onufriy addressed to citizens of Ukraine regarding the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia. He urged to pray for the Ukrainian army, state, and people.

Onufriy also called on the Russian President to immediately stop the war.
