As of noon on 2 March, the AFU in some areas began to intercept the initiative of the Russian occupiers.
The Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that on their Facebook page.
The enemy is trying to keep the fighting capacity of their units, realizing fighting was not an "easy walk". They try to avoid direct clashes with the Ukrainian army and civilians who block the movement of their columns.
"Russian propaganda ceases to operate in Ukraine, and the "Liberators" are aware that no one was waiting for them here," the statement said.
In the Volyn direction, the enemy has lost the initiative and is not taking active action.
In the Polissya direction, the Russian occupiers advance in Makariv - Brusyliv - Fastiv direction. Part of the forces is moving toward Kyiv.
On the routes to Malyn and Irpin, they lost the offensive pace, suffered significant losses and stopped at unfavourable frontiers.
In the Chornobyl direction, the enemy tried to develop an offensive towards Demidov and Irpin but lost the offensive potential and stopped.
In the Zhytomyr region, the enemy is trying to deploy advanced units in the settlements of Gorenychi, Shpytky, and Petrushky.
At the same time, the enemy is deploying field and logistics camps in the settlements of Borodyanka, Katyuzhanka, and Gavronshchyna.
In the Siverskyy direction, the enemy of the 1st tank Army and the 20th All-Russian Army of the Russian Armed Forces, which launched offensive operations in the direction of Krasnograd and Izyum to create conditions for the Allied forces, suffered losses and was stopped at the Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, and Shevchenkove frontiers.
The enemy was stopped in the Chernihiv direction.
In the Nizhyn direction, the Russians moved towards Nova Basan, Kozelets.
In the Donetsk direction, the enemy focused its efforts with the 1st, 2nd AK and 8th armies on reaching the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. They didn't reach the goal, and they didn't manage to block Mariupol.
In the south, the enemy tried to continue the offensive in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. A part of the forces is trying to move to Mariupol.
In the Black Sea Operational Zone, the Russian occupiers continued preparations for a naval landing operation on the Black Sea coast of Ukraine (Zatoka, Odesa districts) as the deployment of naval fleet groups on the high seas was seen.
