The State Migration Service of Ukraine, referring to the relevant government resolution on 28 February 2022, informed that due to the war with Russia on 1 March 2022, they might extend the validity of Ukraine's foreign passports for five years.
"In addition, photographs of children with their personal data are pasted into the passports of parents or legal representatives. This information identifies them and confirms the citizenship of Ukraine," the statement said.
Territorial bodies / territorial subdivisions of the State Migration Service, embassies and consular offices of Ukraine may extend the validity of passports or affix photographs of the child to the parents' passports or legal representatives.
At the same time, migrants reported that the locations of their territorial units had been removed.
"The enemy is vile. It aims to gain confidential information about the citizens of Ukraine as well. We have deliberately removed the locations of our territorial units; this is a forced measure in the interests of national security," the statement said.
