The mayor of Nikolaev Vitaliy Kim calls on residents who are well-versed in the area to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine neutralise enemy columns that are currently preparing to surround the city. He stated this during a statement published in a telegram.
The mayor noted that Russian military convoys are arriving, their equipment is coming.
"I'm afraid that we may find ourselves in a situation where the enemy forms a ring - they try to settle down a little bit and then turn the equipment around and start beating their targets en masse. But we can prevent them," the mayor said.
He noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine work from the position and save their means. According to the mayor, the column movement is almost without cover - GRAD in motion, just a box of matches.
"At the moment, the Russians are deploying. They are most likely to try to turn around at night. We must not allow them to do so. What am I calling for? I urge those who know the area, hunters, combatants, all those who want to prepare for night trips," said Kim.
He called on either burning the equipment or reporting the exact coordinates of its location and movement through officials, saying that everyone in the city knows everyone. Also, locals can report the transfer of Russian troops to the official chatbot @stop_russian_war_bot.
