Ukrainian troops defeated and captured an elite unit of the Russian army near Kharkiv, the first tank army.

"The second elite unit of the Russian army was defeated and taken captive near Kharkiv. This is the first tank army - Taman Division, Kantemirov Division and more. And there is nothing to talk about the rest," Arestovych said.
He added that the Ukrainian military, in particular, captured the commanders of the tank battalion and the deputy commander of the regiment.

Ukrainian journalist Yuriy Butusov, for his part, said that 22 tankers from the 2nd Guards Taman Tank Division with their leaders had been taken prisoner by Ukrainians.
