Ukrzaliznytsia has scheduled a number of additional trains to the west of the country from Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia. As of yesterday, March 3, all trains from the east of the country to the western regions are evacuation trains, ticket sales have been suspended.
According to the Ukrzaliznytsia press service, the following additional trains are scheduled for Friday, March 4:
12:00 - train Dnipro - Lviv;
15:00 - train Zaporizhzhia - Lviv;
15:00 - train Lyman - Lviv;
16:00 - train Kryvyi Rih - Lviv;
18:00 - train Kharkiv - Lviv;
22:00 - train Kharkiv - Lviv;
22:00 - train Zaporizhzhia - Lviv;
22:00 - train Kryvyi Rih - Lviv;
23:59 - train Zaporizhzhia - Uzhgorod.
"Boarding for trains moving to the west of the country is free of charge. Priority is given to children, women, and the elderly," the company said.
More than 1,000 women and children were reportedly evacuated from Irpin and surrounding areas.
