The G7 foreign ministers will discuss the situation in Ukraine and coordinate steps in response to Russian aggression. Ukrinform reported this, citing the US State Department.
The meeting will take place on 4 March at 2 pm in Kyiv.
The State Department's schedule shows that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will be in Brussels on Friday, taking part in a G7 summit after NATO ministerial talks.
The Group of Seven leaders will communicate partly in a virtual format. In particular, according to Reuters, Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi will join the discussion via video link.
"We will exchange views on how to act and plan to strengthen G7 coordination on this issue," the Japanese Foreign Ministry said at a meeting.
As you know, the Group of Seven includes Great Britain, Italy, Canada, Germany, the United States, France and Japan.
