One of the largest aerospace and defense corporations will provide Ukraine with a $2 million emergency humanitarian aid package.

The funds will be distributed to the organizations that deliver food, water, clothes, medicine, and housing for the displaced Ukrainians, including those looking for shelter in neighboring countries, the company’s press release states.

“The ongoing conflict in Ukraine is leading to a serious humanitarian emergency, and Boeing will take steps to support Ukrainian people,” said the President and CEO of Boeing Company, Dave Calhoun.

Boeing will also compensate all the employees’ donations made in support of humanitarian aid in Ukraine as a part of the company’s charitable program.

Out of the mentioned sum, $1 million will be allocated to CARE to aid with distributing food, water, and hygiene products and financial and psychosocial support to affected Ukrainians, with particular attention to women, children, and elderly people.

The American Red Cross will receive $500,000: $ 250,000 for assistance in distributing medicines, medical supplies, and critical care, and another $250,000 for organizations working with vulnerable displaced persons in Ukraine and neighboring countries.
