Western partners must continue to tighten sanctions against Russia, provide weapons for defense, and close the sky over Ukraine for Russian planes and missiles. The fifth President of Ukraine, the leader of European Solidarity Petro Poroshenko, told this in a briefing on journalists about the statement adopted in the Verkhovna Rada.

He stressed that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of very important bills, as well as a statement. "We urge our partner countries not to stop or ease sanctions pressure under any circumstances. We can defeat the aggressor by joint and concerted actions of our soldiers at the front, and the effective supply of offensive, defensive, lethal weapons: from anti-tank NLAW and Javelin, and to MPADS, which shoot down Russian helicopters with landing. We now need an air defense system. Ukraine must receive them, ending with the deployment of two tactical aviation brigades on MiG-22 and Su-27 in Poland in order to restore dominance in the air of Ukrainian ace pilots. And then the Russian invaders would afraid to enter the airspace of Ukraine," the politician noticed.

The second stage of the request is the announcement of the "no-fly zone".

"Ukraine has this sovereign right to ban flights over its territory and to ask NATO to cover up the implementation of this ban with NATO air defenses. We ask our partners not to stop and move on," Petro Poroshenko said.

He added, "Today, those who listen to siren signals every few hours, air alarms, when everyone wakes up at night from the explosions of Russian missiles, Russian bombs, often from the downing of Ukrainian air defense systems, which we restored in 2014, Russian planes and Russian invaders land forever on Ukrainian soil. In such situations, we would certainly like to return to my 16-17-year-old initiative on peacekeepers."

Poroshenko believes that Russia should withdraw all its troops from Ukraine, and peacekeepers with a UN Security Council mandate will guarantee border security together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

"Another very important thing to remember is children, women, those who are having a hard time. And today I am proud that our 206th Territory Defense Battalion of Kyiv, with the coordination and at the request of the Mayor of Irpin, with the coordination of the regional authorities, ensured the evacuation and placement in a safe area for children and women from Irpin. And the battalion will also carry out this activity together with the defense of Kyiv's intrigues," Poroshenko said.

"Ukraine will win. The enemy will be defeated and thrown back into Russia. Who will not be rejected, we will make hell for him here. The victory will be ours," he said.
