Verkhovna Rada supported the statement to the international community in which it asks, among other things, to bring a peacekeeping mission to Ukraine on the basis of the United Nations General Assembly resolution. The text of the statement was released on the Ukrainian Parliament’s website.
Verkhovna Rada appealed to the United Nations, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, International Committee of the Red Cross, European Parliament, international organizations and their parliamentary assemblies, parliaments, and governments of foreign countries to urgently protect Ukrainian civilians from armed attacks by Russian invaders.
Parliament urged the international community to take all the steps to:

Immediately establish a no-fly zone over Ukrainian territory for protecting civilians, world heritage sites, critical infrastructure, damage to which may cause a world catastrophe;

Urgently open humanitarian (green) corridors for the safe evacuation of women, children, and elderly people and guarantee their safety.

For this, the cooperation with the International Committee of Red Cross is planned in accordance with their mandate under the 1949 Geneva Conventions. It is necessary to ensure the provision of humanitarian aid to the injured and civilians to meet their priority needs in food, clothes, first aid; to bring peacekeeping missions to Ukrainian territory based on UNGA 377 (V) "Union for Peace" Resolution of November 3, 1950.
Verkhovna Rada appealed to the United Nations Secretary-General to mediate the end of the war.
Today, on March 3, Verkhovna Rada held a plenary session, during which they adopted 14 laws and one resolution.
On March 2, the speaker of Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, addressed the EU Parliaments to establish a no-fly zone over Ukraine.
The same statement to the international community was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba.
Ex-Commander-in-Chief of Estonia, Member of the European Parliament, Riho Terras stressed that the West should close the sky over Chornobyl, occupied by Russian aggressor, to neutralize the threat.
