The delegations of Ukraine and the Russian Federation have started the second round of negotiations for peace.
The information about the place of the talks was not disclosed.
The Advisor to the chief of President’s Office Mykhailo Podoliak announced the agenda of the talks:
-
an immediate ceasefire
-
an armistice
-
the humanitarian corridors for the removal of civilians from destroyed or constantly shelled villages and towns.
We remind, that on 28 February, the Ukrainian delegation held talks with representatives of the Russian Federation near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border.
A member of the delegation, David Arahamiya, said before the talks that they would go either in the right direction or as a Russian warship.
The talks ended with the definition of "a number of priority topics where certain solutions have been identified."
On 1 March, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stressed that Ukraine is ready for the second meeting and negotiations for peace. But the Ukrainian side will not go to the talks under any circumstances if Russia plans to announce only its ultimatums.
On 2 March, there was information that the venue of the talks would be Belovezhskaya Pushcha. However, the leader of the parliament fraction “Servant of the People”, David Arahamiya, who took part in the first round of talks, denied it.
