In the Chernihiv region near Mena, Ukrainians seized a vehicle from the heavy flamethrower system TOS-1 "Buratino" (improved version is TOS-1A "Solntsepyok") as per Militarnyy.
According to the publication, the video most likely shows the reloading vehicle TZM-T.
The video mentions that the TOS-1A "Solntsepek" was seized with full ammunition.
Heavy flamethrower system is one of the weapons systems designed to destroy lightly armored vehicles, buildings and structures by a massive explosion. It can also be used to destroy the enemy's troops in the open terrain and in fortifications. The system fires with incendiary or thermobaric ammunition. Destruction is caused by high temperature and excess pressure.
In 2001, the Russian army adopted an advanced system TOS-1A Solntsepiok.
We’d like to remind that on March 1, 2022 the Armed Forces of Ukraine seized the launcher of this system in Donetsk region.
