Gas exports from Ukraine are temporarily forbidden.

It was announced by Sergey Pereloma, acting general director of JSC "Ukrtransgaz," on his Facebook page.

"The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has forbidden market players to export natural gas from the customs territory of our country. This also applies to gas stored in underground gas storage facilities in Ukraine in the "customs warehouse" mode," Pereloma wrote.

He added that on March 3 the Ministry of Energy imposed restrictions in connection with warfare on the territory of Ukraine.

Recall, last October Ukrtransgaz, the operator of Ukraine's gas storage facilities, announced the willingness to offer its services to the European Union to store insurance reserves of gas. Ukraine has the most extensive storage facilities in Europe. Its capacity is 31 billion cubic meters of gas. It is used on less than 60%, and the remaining 40% is allocated for gas storage of non-resident companies.
