According to the Zaporizhia Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the radiation background in the Zaporizhia region remains unchanged.
According to the results of planned monitoring studies, the radiation background does not pose a threat to the life and health of the population, informs the press service of NNEGC "Energoatom".
It is established that the gamma radiation background does not exceed the natural background inherent in this area:
Energodar - 9-12 μR/hr;
Melitopol - 9-12 μR/hr;
K-Dniprovka - 11.2 μR/hr;
Berdyansk, Orikhiv, Tokmak, Chernihivka, Andriyivka - 12.5 μR/hr;
Polohy - 11-14 μR/hr;
Vasylivka - 16 μR/hr;
Kherson - 8-10 μR/hr.
"We appeal to citizens to remain calm and not to buy iodine preparations in pharmacies and iodized salt in stores. Iodine prophylaxis is carried out only after the official announcement in the media," emphasized in the message.
