The equipment of the Russian invaders came to Mykolaiv, the chairman of regional state administration Vitaly Kim reported. He stressed that the enemy is currently approaching from the side of Balovny and Halytsynov. The Ukrainian military is in the city.
"There is an event of equipment in the city. Calm down, without panic, do not skimp on all the equipment going around the city. Now our equipment is in the city. I will inform you if there is a breakthrough, and you need to shoot at it," said Kim.
The head of the regional state administration clarified that at the moment the enemy is approaching from the side of Balovny and Halytsynov, he is not driving on the streets yet.
"We are preparing to defend ourselves," Vitaliy Kim said.
He called on women and children to be at home and men to join the defense.
Updated. Kim reported that the 123rd brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine entered into battle with the enemy in Zhovtneve (railway station within Mykolaiv, - the editor).
"We have the first casualties among the civilian population. The school principal was shot dead in a village near Bashtanka," the head of the regional state administration said.
Despite this, Kim urged citizens not to be nervous.
"A battle is being fought in the direction of Zhovtneve, we will fight back now. A bunch of equipment has been smashed along Pribuzky district. Equipment is also starting to move from Bashtanka. So we relax, exhale. We will burn their equipment!" Said Vitaliy Kim.
Update for 12:58. Kim called on the residents of Mykolayiv, "while no one is taking pictures or teaching our equipment," not to help the enemy.
As of 12:30 on March 4, the water area on the Ingul and Southern Bug rivers was closed.
"The military is given a command to shoot to defeat! If it is necessary to swim, agree with military", - the chairman of the Mykolaiv regional state administration emphasized.
