Government Simplifies Rules for Crossing Border for Orphans

The government has simplified the rules for crossing the state border during the war for orphans, children raised in foster families, family-type orphanages, under guardianship, and under 18 years of age. This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy. The changes are accepted because many public associations that work abroad with children are ready to organize the departure of children in groups.“These changes stipulate that the departure of orphans, children deprived of parental care, those who are brought up in family-type orphanages and have not reached 18 years of age, is accompanied by a legal representative or other authorized person with the written consent of the guardianship and care authority or military administration,” the statement said.Besides, the departure of children under the age of 16, accompanied by a parent, grandmother, grandfather, adult brother or sister, stepmother, stepfather, or other persons authorized by one of the parents in a written statement certified by the guardianship and care authority, is carried out without the notarized consent of the other parent.
