In the Mykolaiv region, it was quiet overnight leading into 5 March but occupiers are gathering their troops.

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration Vitaliy Kim stated this in his morning address on 5 March via Telegram.

"The night was quiet. The enemy shot from time to time. Currently they are gathering troops in the area of Bashtanka, Golitsynovo. They are preparing for further movements. We are getting ready to repel them. Yesterday I went to the city to check on our guys. All is calm. The marauders are afraid. Three cars were confiscated from drunk drivers for the needs of the army as promised. You shouldn’t do so," - Kim.

According to him, Russians planned to invade Mykolaiv three days ago.
