Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Valeriy Zaluzhnyy, said that the Russian military leadership conducted mobilization on the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and is forming units of 1 and 2 army corps to storm the cities on Ukrainian-controlled territory. This was reported by the press center of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to him, most of those mobilized have Russian passports.
“Currently, some of our countrymen are being transferred across the Rostov region, across Krasnodarsky Krai, and temporarily occupied Crimea to conduct a naval offensive to capture Odesa. The rest were taken to Belgorod to storm Kyiv in the first echelon as “cannon fodder,” Zaluzhnyy said.
“This is a war crime and a flagrant violation of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War. This is also another proof of the complete subordination of the 1 and 2 army corps to the 8th army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation,” he added.
Earlier, the defenders of Ukraine captured a group of representatives of armed forces of the Russian Federation, who turned out to be residents of the temporarily occupied territories of the Donbas region, among them - locksmiths, teachers and social workers.
