The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (GS AFM) called on foreigners to join the International Legion of Territorial Defense Forces.
"If you do not have Ukrainian citizenship… If you want to take an active part in the fight for European freedom and democracy.. If you have combat experience or you want to get it, standing next to the brave defenders of Ukraine. Call for action! Join the International Legion of Territorial Defense Forces!," stated in the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
GS AFM shars step-by-step instructions: what to do, where to go, what documents to bring and how to get to the assembly point in Ukraine to "sign a contract and join the war against Russian occupation forces together with soldiers from other countries as well as Ukraine."
It will be recalled that on the 27th of February, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on all foreigners who want to protect security in Europe to join the International Legion of Territorial Defense Forces in Ukraine. On the 28th of February, the Foreign Legion of Volunteers was formed. On the same day, the President of Ukraine signed Decree №82 / 2022 on the introduction of a visa-free regime for foreigners who will help to protect Ukraine from Russian aggression.
