The enemy ship was hit by the units of the Naval Infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defending the Odesa region. This is stated on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian Naval Infantry.

“Today, 7 March 2022, the units of the Naval Infantry of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defending the Odesa region hit the enemy ship,” – the statement said.

The militaries said that enemy retreated again.

Update 13:01. As the chief editor of the BlackSeaNews portal and co-founder of the Black Sea Institute of Strategic Studies, Andriy Klymenko said on Facebook, the patrol ship of the Black Sea Fleet of the RF “Vasiliy Bykov” was at least damaged by the missile attack from the coast of Odesa.

According to the report of the Monitoring Group, the main ship of the series of patrol corvettes of the project 22160 “Vasiliy Bykov” was laid down on 26 February 2014, at the sanctioned Zelenodolsk Plant in Tatarstan.

“It was launched on 28 August 2017, towed by the inland waterways to the captured plant “Zalyv” in Kerch for fitting-out in the autumn of the same year. On 25 March 2018 it left Kerch for the city of Novorosiysk for government testing, which began in May 2018,” – the statement said.

On 20 December 2018, it was included into the Black Sea Fleet.

In August-October 2020 it crossed the russian rivers to the Northern Fleet where the installation of “Kalibr” cruise missiles container version was tested, and then returned to Russia.

From May to November it was stationed in the Mediterranean sea, based in the Syrian city of Tartus.

We will remind you that the civilian ship which did not agree to become a human shield was sunk by the Russian ships in the Odesa port.
