Russian troops carried out a missile strike against the Olvia seaport located on the Bug estuary, 25 km from Mykolayiv, as reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure’s press service.

“The Olvia seaport has just been hit. No one has been injured,” the agency said in its statement on Facebook.

The Ministry of Infrastructure confirmed that the port territory belongs to the Qatari company QTerminals Olvia. Last year the investor took over the harbor under concession for 35 years.

Since 24 February, when the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began, Russian invaders have committed a series of aggressive actions in the Black Sea. Civilian ships sailing under other states’ flags have been attacked.

On 2 March, the Russian Navy launched a missile strike on a Bangladeshi-flagged ship in the port of Olvia, killing a crew member.
