Irpin Mayor Oleksandr Markushyn received messages from the occupiers threatening his life and health. The enemy demanded that he surrender the city, as the mayor wrote on Facebook.
“Yesterday at 5:58 pm I received a message from the occupiers with threats to my life and health and the actual demand for the complete surrender of Irpin,” he said. The message also suggested “improving his financial situation.”
“I'm surprised that these monsters still haven't understood, Irpin shall not surrender, Irpin shall not sell out, Irpin shall fight!” - it is said in the mayor’s message.
Instead, Markushyn made a public counteroffer to the occupiers to leave Irpin within 24 hours and save the lives and health of several thousand Russian conscripts who are awaited at home by their mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and lover.
“Go home to Russia, and I will congratulate the women of the Irpin without you,” said the mayor.
It is to be recalled that evacuation is currently proceeding in Irpin. More than 150 people were taken out of the city. People are being evacuated on foot.
