A foreigner who smuggled people across the state border of Ukraine was detained in Mohyliv-Podilskyy (Vinnytsia region).
The Vinnytsia Regional State Administration head, Serhiy Borzov, announced it in his Telegram.
A Moldovan citizen is suspected of organizing the illegal transportation of conscripts across the state border of Ukraine.
Police took more than a dozen men, aged 18 to 60, from the Dnipro, Kyiv and Kharkiv to the police station. They had tried to leave the territory of Ukraine illegally, paying a certain sum of money.
There is the son and grandson of the singer Sofia Rotaru among the detained men, Ukrayinska Pravda reports, citing its sources. Due to the war waged by Russia, the government imposed martial law on the territory of Ukraine, according to which all conscripts aged 18 to 60 were forbidden to cross the state border. Also, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine later approved a presidential decree on general mobilization. The decree was signed on 25 February.
