The head of the British Ministry of Defense, Ben Wallace, called the Russian president “an exhausted force in the world”, saying that the Russian army is done and Putin must admit it, as reported by The Guardian.
“Whatever happens, President Putin is an exhausted force in the world, he is over, his army is over… And he must admit it,” Wallace said. “He [Putin - LB.ua] is in a position where he is going to cause great economic difficulties to his people.”
Assessing the course of hostilities in Ukraine, the British minister noted that the invasion “is not going very well” for the Russians. According to Wallace, Russia is losing many soldiers in Ukraine who have been “let down by disgusting state leaders, disgusting commanders and plans.”
It will be recalled that, according to the Pentagon, Russia used almost 100% of the troops concentrated on Ukraine’s borders.
As of the morning of 8 March, the losses of Russian troops amounted to 12,000 killed. Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 303 tanks, 80 helicopters and 48 planes.
As stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Valery Zaluzhnyy, the Russians are demoralized and exhausted, and Russia’s plans for a blitzkrieg, for a change of government and Ukraine’s foreign policy were thwarted.
