"We have to adjust our lives to the martial law economy" - Shmyhal

"War is not only the front. War is also the rear, which must be reliable and stable. In these conditions, we all have to adjust our lives to the martial law economy," said Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

In a video message posted on his Facebook page, the Prime Minister said that the government had simplified and continues to simplify the rules for importing humanitarian aid.

"Over the past six days, almost 3,000 trucks have crossed the Ukrainian border, importing 20,000 tons of humanitarian aid. These are mostly food, clothing, medicine and medical supplies that the government is already sending to the regions. In addition, more than 10 bil hryvnyas have been transferred to the account specially created by the National Bank of Ukraine to support our army," Shmyhal said.

He noted that the government had decided to continue assisting low-income families, single mothers, and children with serious illnesses. Internally displaced persons will continue receiveing payments without reapplying to the social security authorities.

The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the procedure for calculating exemptions and subsidies.

"If the local social security authorities cannot perform their functions, the Ministry of Social Policy will make all payments directly through Oschadbank, even if the recipients have accounts in other banks," Shmyhal said.

As said before, Ukraine has simplified the rules for crossing the border for conscript drivers transporting humanitarian aid, mainly truck and railway drivers.

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has received more than 700,000 applications from Ukrainians to get 6,500 hryvnyas of state support through the "Diya" application.
