The fighting is happening in the Chernihiv region. The Operational Command North reported this.
"One of these days, the defenders of the region managed to destroy the enemy's front-line command post and several columns with wheeled and armored vehicles, which drastically derailed him and broke the plan of attack," the statement said.
At the same time, according to the Operational Command, the occupiers in panic resorting to brutal methods including firing on civilians, looting, and destroying their homes with artillery and tank fire. However, in general, the situation is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and security forces defending the Chernihiv region from invaders.
"Our military surrounds Russian units. To somehow break out of the encirclement, they inflict firing on their troops, which are limited by close combat units of our Armed Forces," the statement said.
As was reported early, the operational summary of the General Staff informed that the enemy suffered losses while attacking Chernihiv city.
