The operator (OGTSU) stated that the Russian troops were trying to enter the territory of compressor stations in Kupyansk (Kharkiv region) and Novopsk (Luhansk region) and interfere in the operations of GTS facilities, as stated in the operator’s message on Facebook.
“OGTSU reports on attempts of Russian military and armed groups of “LNR” to get on the territory of compressor stations in Novopskov Luhansk region, Kupyansk Kharkiv region, as well as to interfere in the operations of GTS facilities. The company points out that interference in the technological processes of the GTS creates significant risks to the safety of continuous gas transportation to consumers in Ukraine and Europe and could lead to a technological catastrophe in the region," said the statement.
The company reported on the situation to law enforcement agencies, authorized state bodies, and Gazprom PJSC.
“The OGTSU demands that the military and armed groups immediately leave the territory of the compressor stations and stop trying to influence the operation of the GTS,” it said.
