The English Premier League deprived Russia of broadcasting its matches and donated £ 1m to support Ukraine

The EPL is the second of the top 5 leagues that deprived Russian fans of watching their matches.

The English Premier League and its clubs have unanimously agreed to suspend the agreement with the Russian broadcasting partner Rambler (Okko Sport) with immediate effect and donate 1m pounds in support of the people of Ukraine, according to the official website of the EPL.

It is noted that 1 million pounds will be transferred to the Disaster Emergency Committee in the event of disasters (DEC) to deliver humanitarian help directly to those who need it.

Earlier, the EPL implemented a series of actions in favor of Ukraine. In particular, the team captains wore special bandages; fans together with teams and officials expressed their support; words of support were broadcast on the boards and stands of the stadiums.

We remind that the French League 1 also no longer broadcasts the French Сhampionship in Russia.
