Since the beginning of the war, the occupiers have killed 71 children in Ukraine

The Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights, Lyudmila Denisova, announced that as of the morning of 10 March, 71 children had been killed and more than 100 injured in Ukraine since the Russian invasion began.

In Malyn, Zhytomyr region, an airstrike destroyed seven private one-story apartment buildings, killing five people, including three children (a five-year-old girl and two children born in 2021).

A 16-year-old boy died during shelling at a market in the village Zhukovskoho in the Kharkiv region.

At night, as a result of another artillery shelling in the village of Slobozhanske, Izium district, Kharkiv region, the enemy's projectile hit a private house. Four people died under the rubble: two women and two children; a 5-year-old girl survived.

In Irpin, Kyiv region, a 10-year-old girl got an exit wound by shelling and is currently in hospital in serious condition.

"Ukraine pays an exorbitant price with our children's lives, our people's future for Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, the atrocities of Russian militants, the violation of all Geneva conventions. I insist, NATO countries, help stop Russian terrorism - close the skies over Ukraine," Denisova said.

As a result of an airstrike at the children's hospital in Mariupol on Wednesday, 9 March, a child died.

An NFT project has been launched in Ukraine to help affected children.
