According to the situation brief of the Commandment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russian occupiers are trying to capture Mariupol and Severodonetsk, planning to surround Chernihiv and are moving their reserves to Sumy.
Rusian forces bombed border settlements Kopany, Bukhlychy and Verknyy Terebezhyv on the Belarussian territory. There were no casualties.
In the direction of Polissya, the invaders did not attempt to advance. The enemy holds positions around Poliske, Kukhari, Borodyanka, Andriivka, Motyzhyn, Gorenychy, Bucha and Demydiv.
In the direction of Siversk, the enemy tries to advance towards settlements Zazymya and Vyshenky with partial success. To cut off Chernihiv from the southwest, they try to occupy Mykhailo-Kotsubynske and Shestovytsya.
In the direction of Slobozhansk, Russians concentrate forces around Severodonetsk, Svatove, Kupyansk, Velyka Pysarivka without attempting to attack and move reserves towards Sumy.
In the direction of Donetsk and Tavria, the enemy deploys a significant effort to occupy Mariupol and Severodonetsk.
In the direction of Pivdennyy Boug (Southern Boug), the enemy holds previously occupied positions. Separate enemy units keep the areas of Stepove and Tsherbaky and conduct operations around Gulyay Pole.
The Russian aviation conducted missile strikes of Lutsk, Dnipro and Ivano-Frankivsk.
Meanwhile, anti-Russian rallies are taking place in the occupied territories.
"Ukrainian Armed Forces and other defense units are resisting and inflicting significant losses on the enemy personnel and equipment, undermining their resolve," adds the brief.
In twelve days of the blockade and indiscriminate shelling of the residential areas of Mariupol, Russian occupying forces killed 1582 civilians.
