Fox News cameraman dies in Ukraine, death of Ukrainian journalist is also reported

The journalists’ car came under shelling.

The American TV channel Fox News has reported the death of a citizen of Ireland, the TV channel’s cameraman, Pierre Zakrevsky.

According to the edition, Zakrevsky was working on the report from the Kyiv region together with the correspondent Benjamin Hall, who was injured yesterday.

“Their car was attacked in Horenka near Kyiv,” Fox News says.

Fox describes Zakrevsky as an experienced war zone photographer who covered almost all international events, from Iraq to Syria. He was 39 years old. Until 2022 he worked in London, then came to Ukraine in February.

The adviser of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Anton Herashchenko, reports that along with the foreign journalists in the car, which came under shelling, there was a Ukrainian journalist, Oleksandra Kuvshynova. It appears she died as well.

Yesterday, the injury of Benjamin Hall was reported by the prosecutor general Iryna Venediktova. The journalist suffered a comminuted fracture of the lower limbs and is now in the ICU in doctors’ care. According to the prosecutor general, the location where the journalist was injured is not a military facility.
