On 16 March, around 10am, Russian troops opened fire on people standing in line for bread, killing at least ten civilians. The attack occurred in the residential district of Chernihiv, reported a correspondent for the broadcaster Suspilne.
Since the beginning of the Russian invasion the prosecutor's office has initiated at least 200 criminal cases that can be classified as war crimes in the Chernihiv region.
Update. Chernihiv Oblast Police Chief Volodymyr Nidzelskyi said the death toll had risen to 13.
As reported earlier, on 14 March, the occupiers bombed the pumping station in Chernihivvodokanal and four people were killed.
