Russian forces shelled Rubizhne in the Luhansk region all night. At least 27 houses are damaged; in some cases, the whole streets are destroyed, the head of the Luhansk regional state administration, Serhiy Haidai, reported. At least five more fires happened in Popasna, one more in Severodonetsk. Information on casualties is being clarified.
“Dozens of broken destinies in one night. Relatives are dying, houses burning both for city and village residents. However, the Russian army continues to deliberately shell the civilians, who are not even given a chance to leave safely. The other day we saw them fire at the buses with refugees in Rubizhne; yesterday, the same happened with Mariupol. We barely got women and children out of Popasna. Russians are depriving us of the opportunity to stay at home because people have nowhere to live right now; there are no safe places. But each day, we are trying to get as many people as possible out of the region. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, in turn, are doing everything possible to hold the defense,” Haidai said.
Yesterday Russian military shelled the car convoy with the people evacuating from Mariupol to Zaporizhzhia. The enemy launched an attack in the Zaporizhzhia region. There are children among the victims.
