The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have shared the details of the strike on the Russian-held airfields in Berdyansk and Luhansk.

"The Special Operations Forces received information about the enemy's use of airfields in the temporarily occupied Berdyansk and Luhansk, as well as the presence of a significant number of aircraft and special equipment and ammunition," the SOF said.

This information was verified and confirmed. The coordinates and necessary data were transferred to the Defence Forces to deliver a strike. As a result of the fire impact on the night of 16-17 October, the Russians suffered significant losses, including:

· nine helicopters of various modifications

· special equipment located at the airfields

· an air defence launcher

· ammunition depot

· airfield runways were damaged.

The ammunition depot in Berdyansk had been detonating until 4 a.m. Detonations in Luhansk lasted until 11 am.

Russia's manpower losses amount to dozens of dead and wounded. Bodies are still being removed from the rubble.

Eyewitness videos from Berdyansk were posted on social media, with local residents discussing the strike on the airfield.
