Fifty-nine companies from 23 countries have joined the Alliance of Defence Companies, which was established at the Defence Industries Forum, Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has told the news telethon.

"The Alliance of Defence Companies was launched there [at the Forum] to produce weapons together with Ukraine. Currently, 59 companies from 23 countries are members of this Alliance. These are concrete commitments to jointly create the necessary weapons," Kuleba said.

According to him, Ukraine anticipated the risk of reaching the "bottom" of its partners' stockpiles, so it started working with them a year ago. This risk of running out of weapons is now minimized, he said.

The first International Defence Industries Forum (DFNC1) took place in Kyiv on 29 September. The event brought together 252 companies from more than 30 countries that produce a full range of weapons, military equipment and defence systems. The forum was organised by the Ministry of Strategic Industries, the Ministry of Defence and the Foreign Ministry.
