The Specialised Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) and the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine have secured the arrest of the property of Odesa International Airport, according to the SAPO press service.

The investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) imposed an arrest with the deprivation of the right to alienate and dispose of property in the case of illegal seizure of the property complex of the facility. The court also arrested UAH 2.5 billion in revenue from the airport's operations.

The property includes the old terminal building and airport property (2,488 units), the new terminal building with a total area of 26,700 sq m and the corporate rights of Odesa Airport Development LLC (75% of the rights to Odesa International Airport LLC).

In the summer, the SAPO and the NABU exposed a scheme to illegally seize Odesa International Airport and UAH 2.5 billion in revenue from its operations.

Former Odesa mayor Oleksiy Kostusev, his deputy, the head of a limited liability company, and businessmen Boris Kaufman and Oleksandr Borukhovych are suspects in this case.

The HACC remanded businessman Kaufman in custody and set bail at almost UAH 270 million. Later, bail was granted to another businessman. This month, the NABU put Kostusev on the wanted list.
