Chernihiv suffers great losses due to the systematic enemy air and artillery raids and destructions of civilian infrastructure. Just yesterday, 53 bodies of the victims arrived at the city morgues, the head of Chernihiv regional state administration, Viacheslav Chaus, reported. He emphasized that there would be revenge for each of the victims.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to inflict devastating blows on the enemy’s forces where the forces are not in the populated areas. The enemy panics and suffers great losses,” he said.
Chaus stressed that emergency teams of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine continue to patch the holes in the network under the shellings. Chernihiv city council and volunteers are working to supply people in the shelters with food and water. There is a possibility to report the lack of food and water through the military.
"Separately, I appeal not to Chernihiv residents but those in other areas of Ukraine and try to comment on social networks and spread panic sentiments that Russians are running around the city with riffles - come over and see. There are no Russians with riffles here. Do not instill panic, please. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are doing their job," he added.
Yesterday Russians insidiously shelled people in Chernihiv queueing for bread. 13 civilians died.
