The Russian invaders released the head of the Velykoburlutsk village community, Viktor Tereshchenko, who was abducted yesterday.
This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv Military-Civil Administration Oleg Sinegubov. Tereshchenko is currently in hospital.
"The second news, unfortunately, is less pleasant. The occupiers did not allow us to transport humanitarian aid along certain humanitarian corridors, in particular to the city of Izyum. We decided to build logistics centers in nearby settlements, and then deliver to residents with the help of volunteers," he said.
The abduction of local authorities is something the enemy has been resorting to in recent weeks. On 16 March, the mayor of Melitopol was released from a five-day captivity.
