Operational command of Ukrainian forces of defense continues the defense operation on the Eastern, South-Eastern and North-Eastern directions. Measures of the martial law regime, stabilization actions, and territorial defense tasks are being carried out. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the summary about the russian invasion as of 12 am 19.03.2022.
The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is holding back the enemy’s missiles and airstrikes, performing airstrikes protection of heavily populated cities, important industrial facilities, operational groups of the armed forces.
On the southern direction, separate frontiers recovered the front line of defense. The enemy is forced to regroup, engage additional reserves, perform any actions to restore fighting capability.
On the Donetsk direction, the russian army is assaulting and performing fire destruction.
On the Volyn and Polisia direction, there was no enemy’s direct activity. They continued to increase the amount of military equipment, establish engineering support and logistics to prepare for the attack on Kyiv.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanshchyna directions, there was no offensive activity either. Enemy armed forces are shelling Ukrainian settlements.
On the Izyum direction, the enemy’s armed forces were trying to breach the Ukrainian defense. However, they failed. Assault groups were terminated.
Occupants are maintaining significant losses. The moral and psychological condition of enemy troops is low and getting worse with each new day of the war. Punishment units of the Rosguard lost a significant part of weapons and military equipment. To cover these losses, they reinforce with the old vehicles and equipment and/or malfunction one.
The commandant's office of the russian city of Belgorod is conducting an investigation about 10 soldiers from the 138th Motorized Brigade. They had participated in the offensive attack on Kharkiv and due to high losses refused further fighting and were encouraging others to return home.
It is noteworthy that the head of the 652nd group of informational and psychological operations of russian armed forces was severely reprimanded for weak progress towards the creation of the “Kherson people’s republic”. The commanders in Kremlin are not satisfied that there is no propaganda “picture” to show due to citizens’ protests against russian occupants.
