The International Federation of Film Producers Associations FIAPF has decided to temporarily suspend the accreditation of the Moscow International Film Festival and the International Film Festival "Message to Man." This information became known from the official statement of the FIAPF.

"After deep analysis, FIAPF concluded that since the Russian government provides financial support to two Russian-accredited festivals, there is no guarantee that these festivals will fully comply with the FIAPF accreditation program's values and rules," the statement said.

The document also states that the core values of FIAPF Regulations on International Film Festivals are the rule of law, the spirit of international cooperation, and the resolution of conflicts through diplomatic means.

The decision to suspend the accreditation of Russian film festivals remains effective until further notice.

Earlier, the Berlin Film Festival announced the removal of Russian agencies, delegations, and "Kremlin supporters" from participation in the festival due to the full-scale war that Russia is waging against Ukraine.
