Denmark stands ready to send its military to a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine, the Danish Defense Minister said

Defense Minister Morten Bødskov stated this, according to Euroactiv.

“The Danish government is ready to send its military to a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine if it can help put an end to this bloody war. We have decades of experience in such work, and I definitely think that Denmark can contribute to this and change the situation for better,” he said.

The Defense Minister also stated readiness to strengthen the military contingent in the Baltic countries, where there are already Danish soldiers and aircrafts. He also reminded that after NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has warned that Russia might use biological or chemical weapons in Ukraine, Denmark sent equipment to help detect such atrocity.

Earlier during his visit to Kyiv, Deputy Prime Minister of Poland and leader of the ‘Law and Justice’ Party Jaroslav Kaczynski said, that Ukraine needed a ‘NATO peacekeeping mission of a broader international coalition’.
