Poland has proposed that the European Union impose a total ban on trade with Russia. This was stated by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Censor.NET reports citing Reuters.

Poland proposes as soon as possible to add a trade blockade to the package of sanctions against Russia, including both Russian seaports, as well as a ban on land trade.

"The complete cessation of Russian trade will make Russia think about whether it is better to end this brutal war," Moravetsky said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy offered a complete embargo on trade with Russia during an online speech to the leaders of the Joint Expeditionary Force – the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson and the leaders of the Baltic States and Northern Europe. He also called for adding the complete exclusion of Russian banks from SWIFT and the recognition of the Russian state as a terrorist state to the sanctions list.

The United States is also considering a complete embargo on trade with Russia.
