Russia's largest cargo airline Volga-Dnepr is obliged to stop all flights at Boeing aircrafts. The RBK-Ukraine said about it with reference to Reuters.

The supply of most of aircrafts and spare parts to Russia was stopped due to Western sanctions. The representatives of Volga-Dnepr said that they stopped the activity of two of their affiliated companies - AirBridgeCargo and Atran, which use 18 Boeing aircrafts 747 and 6 Boeing aircrafts 737, due to Western sanctions and the decision of Bermuda Islands Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) on the termination of their security certificates.

Volga-Dnepr, which calls itself the world leader in the market of oversized and heavy cargo, will be able to use only Russian-made aircrafts, including cargo aircrafts An-124 and Il-76.

Earlier, the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) introduced restrictive measures against Russia in connection with the military invasion of Ukraine.

Due to the sanctions of the USA and EU, Russian airlines can’t obtain the spare parts or maintenance from the aircrafts manufacturers. Also, aircraft leasing companies, which own about 80% of almost 900 commercial aircrafts used by Russian airlines, required that these aircrafts would be returned by the end of March.

Earlier, China has already said that it will supply spare parts for aircrafts to Russia.

After Russian aggression against Ukraine the USA and all European countries banned the use of their air space to planes of Russian airlines.
