In Mariupol, residents of Azovstalska and Ukrainian Cossacks streets in the Left Bank district are being illegally deported to Russia.

This information as of 8 am was reported in the Telegram of the Mariupol city council.

"People who are forcibly deported to Russia are deprived of their Ukrainian passports and instead issued a piece of paper that is void and is not recognized in the entire civilized world," the statement said.

Yesterday, the Mariupol City Council announced that the Russian occupiers were illegally removing people from the Left Bank district and a shelter in the building of the sports club, where more than a thousand people (mostly women and children) were hiding from the constant bombing. The Mariupol City Council notes that the occupiers first took people to filtration camps, where they checked phones and documents. After that, some Mariupol residents were transported to remote Russian cities. The fate of other people remains unknown.

According to preliminary data, the enemy forcibly took out several thousand people.
