Occupiers move 2,389 children from Donetsk, Luhansk regions to Russia - Foreign Ministry

On March 19, russian occupiers’ armed forces illegally relocated 2389 children on the territory of the Russian Federation. These children were relocated from temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions [CADLR]. It is reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

“Force relocation of civilians, especially children, onto the territory of the aggressor is characterized as kidnapping. Such actions are the rough violation of International law, especially international humanitarian law,” – indicated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

“Russian Federation leaves Ukrainian children without parental care by destroying their homes and killing their parents and continues to put children’s lives under the risk on the territory of Russia. We call international society for urgent reaction to the illegal relocation of the Ukrainian children and force the pressure on Russia to stop the bloody war against Ukrainian people,” – diplomats added.

The Ministry noted that the fact of kidnapping alongside hundreds of other facts of russian occupiers’ crimes against civilians in Ukraine are being documented by the law enforcement agencies.

Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine reported that stated on the morning of March 21 official number of children, who are the victims of the war, remained the same: 115 dead due to military actions of the Russian Federation and 148 injured.
