For the past 24hrs, Russian troops have struck 44 strikes on Kharkiv. The occupiers fired 140 times from "Grad" and "Uragan". Rockets from Cruise Missile "Kalibr" were fired from ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet to the Kharkiv city center.
This was announced by the head of the Kharkiv Region Military Administration(KRMA) Oleg Sinegubov.
As for the Kharkiv region, in the evening of 23 March 2022 Stara Saltivka was shelled, in the morning of 24 March 2022 Zolochiv was shelled, there are victims. Fighting continues in the Izyum district.
"Although the Russians are trying to strengthen the direction, the Ukrainian army is repelling all attacks, two more Russian planes were shot down by the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the town of Izyum" the head of the KRMA stressed.
Sinegubov noted that the Russians continue to terrorize representatives of local governments. The head of Tsyrkunivka Mykola Sikalenko, who was abducted on 21 March 2022, is still in captivity. Authorities are doing everything to find and return Mykola Sikalenko.
According to operative data of the State Emergency Service, during the day 23-24 March 2022, rescuers of the Kharkiv garrison made 30 trips to eliminate fires, as well as dismantle the rubbles of destroyed buildings.
Exploration works and dismantling of blockages were carried out in Kyivskyy, Shevchenkivskyy and Moscowskyy districts of Kharkiv. In addition, during the day, State Emergency Service of Ukraine(SES) units carried out fire-fighting trips to residential high-rise buildings and private buildings in the Kyivskyy, Industrialnyy and Moscowskyy districts of Kharkiv, as well as Kharkiv, Bohodukhiv, Izium and Chuhuiv districts of the Kharkiv region.
Pyrotechnic units of the SES also disposed of unexploded ordnance. There were explosive devices at 45 addresses in the city of Kharkiv and Kharkiv district .
