The Russian army has distinctly increased the number of shellings in the city, residential and industrial areas of Chernihiv.
This is stated in the summary of the heads of regional state administrations.
"Especially intense since the evening," the statement said.
"How the night went. In the region as a whole, the situation is under control where it can be controlled; and unclear where there is currently no access. In Chernihiv, moscovian scum was pounding all night: artillery shelling, air shelling. Chernihiv caught it again, but Chernihiv is unbreakable," Vyacheslav Chaus, the Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, said in his Telegram channel.
In Chernihiv, Russian troops bombed a road bridge across the Desna, connecting the city with Kyiv.
