Since the start of russia's full-scale war in Ukraine, about a quarter of Ukrainians working in Poland's construction sector have left the country, announced by Jan Stylinski, head of the Polish Association of Construction Industry Employers (PZPB), as reported by DW with reference to AFP news agency.
According to him, “before the war, 480,000 foreigners worked in the construction sector in Poland, and four in five were from Ukraine.”
According to official data, more than 300,000 Ukrainians had a residence permit in Poland before the war, but the actual number was estimated at about 1.5 million, according to DW.
